EMDR

EMDR is an evidence-based modality used to treat PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and can also be used to address symptoms of anxiety, as well as distressing memories and negative belief systems.  EMDR expedites the mind's natural healing ability resulting in resolution and freedom from the distress of past events. As distress is dissolved, new pathways and perspectives are formed and energized, lighting the way to a brighter future. 

Brainspotting

Brainspotting can access deeply rooted sources of anxiety and stress and then facilitate a processing of these disturbances to a point of resolution. As Brainspotting is a therapy that acknowledges and facilitates the mind and body connection, many find Brainspotting enables a unique experience of depth and completion. 

Positive Psychology

Traditional Psychotherapy involves an emphasis on symptoms and distress. Positive Psychology enhances what's joyful, what's working, and what's possible. Emphasis is on cultivating the experiences and qualities that create happiness. The intended result is a life that feels deeply meaningful, purposeful, joyful, and filled with experiences that reflect these qualities. 

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy) is an evidence-based modality that explores the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and actions. As automatic thoughts are observed and noted, the underlying assumptions we carry begin to surface, and the fundamental thoughts and beliefs we have formed about ourselves, others, and the world are explored, challenged, considered, and enhanced. As cognitions change towards positive self-concept, feelings can change, and positively impact the actions we take.  

Psychodynamic

Explores the relationship between the past to the present and uncovers past experiences that may currently impact worldview, personality, and relationships. Insight develops and facilities growth and change. Therapy provides the safety and connection by which healing, growth, and learning may occur. 

Solution-Focused Therapy

Solution Focused Therapy emphasizes strengths and explores what specific actions a person is taking or might take that can faciliate a positive outcome.  

As positive strategies are clarified and enhanced, there is the potential for presenting problems to loosen their grip and fade further into the background. 

Mindfulness

Incorporates principles of meditation as well as stress-management techniques to help calm the busyness of the mind and enhance a connection to the inner peace residing within each of us.
